MACOM to Showcase Next Generation Connectivity Solutions at OFC 2025

MACOM will host live demonstrations and present its extensive portfolio of optical and copper connectivity solutions, including lasers, laser and modulator drivers, photodiodes, transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), linear equalizers, optical clock recovery (OCR) modules, high speed optical receiver solutions, optical post amplifiers and advanced clock and data recovery integrated circuits.
MACOM Announces Plans to Produce Larger Wafers, Expand US Manufacturing and Add Advanced Technology with CHIPS Act Support
MACOM is pleased to announce its preliminary, strategic long-term investment plan to modernize its Massachusetts and North Carolina semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities. This initiative, which is expected to be supported by funding from both U.S. Department of Commerce CHIPS and Science Act and the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative, once finalized will help strengthen our domestic semiconductor production capabilities and accelerate our growth strategy.
MACOM Expands MMIC and Module Portfolio with Acquisition of ENGIN-IC
Founded in 2014 by RF and microwave industry veterans, ENGIN-IC develops advanced GaAs and GaN-on-SiC MMICs and integrated microwave assemblies and has been dedicated to fulfilling the needs of the aerospace and defense industry since its inception. ENGIN-IC expands MACOM’s existing high frequency MMIC and module design capabilities with its team of industry-leading MMIC designers, a product portfolio of 60+ standard and custom designs and strategic locations near customers in Texas and California. The combination of ENGIN-IC’s exceptional wideband and high efficiency MMIC design expertise with MACOM’s manufacturing scale and expertise in GaN, will enable us to better support customers with a comprehensive portfolio of cutting-edge solutions to meet current and evolving market demands.

MACOM's Expanding Product Portfolio
The Opto-AmpTM product line is in support of free space optical (FSO) communications between satellites and satellite-to-ground networks. This new product line can improve connectivity between earth stations and low earth orbit (LEO), medium earth orbit (MEO) and geosynchronous earth orbit (GEO) satellite networks.
New 200G per lane solutions for 1.6T data center optical connectivity. These solutions represent a meaningful addition to the MACOM portfolio, enabling next-generation capabilities and high-speed connectivity that are crucial for the rapidly evolving digital landscape.
